Portal 2 Price Cuts – Amazon has it for…
Portal 2 has seen unusual price cuts after only a couple of weeks after it’s release. The game started at the usual $60 price tags with most stores selling it for $55 at release. Now after only a couple of weeks after release stores have cut the price to $39.99 with Amazon taking it a step further selling it for $34.99! The game is a little short for a $60 video game, but at no point did I think it was a waste of my money. Why would valve cut the price so soon especially since they have already announced the first DLC will be free for both console and PC versions?
Some are speculating that Valve is trying to curve the used sales of the game by making the resale value of the game less. Perhaps making it worth it to hold on to the game rather than selling it. This also cuts the video game stores profit on the game as well. It’s an interesting strategy to say the least. We will have to see how it pans out, but it’s good news for gamers because portal is an awesome game. Go pick it up over at Amazon for $34.99.
