21st Amendment – Can’t Get Enough!
I have to say that I have been very impressed with 21st Amendment’s beers. I have yet to drink a brew of theirs that I didn’t like. So far I have had the opportunity to have their Monk’s Blood, Hell or High Watermelon, Back in Black, and Fireside Chat. All of which or unique and set themselves apart from other beers of the same style. They brew with some interesting ingredients which include things like dates, like in the Allies win the war, and figs, like that in the Monk’s Blood which also has vanilla bean, cinnamon, and is aged in oak.
21st Amendment is a 12 year old brewery out of San Francisco that gets it’s name from the Amendment that repealed Prohibition something founders Nico Freccia and Shaun O’Sullivan find they connect with. According to their website there use to be 40 breweries operating in the city limits in the early 1900’s, but because of prohibition there are currently only 8 with a population that has more than doubled. The 21st Amendment stands for the right and freedom to brew beer and with that all the creativity and community that comes with it.
